Mechanic, hot on the heels of your message, I saw clips of Pauline Quirk's trailer for Emmerdale. It looks like a strong, comic character - and I like her as an actress - so I certainly will not give up on the prog. yet. Obviously, I'll curb any lascivious thoughts about Jacksoff and hair on his g-string! Or the idea of licking him from his armpit to his arsehole, and onward to his bollocks, then upward to the juicy, oozing tip of his tumescent, tongue-licking, bum-stretching penis Go well |

Like your line of thinking Mikmal3 - but don't give up on Emmerdale just yet - some more twists and turns for sure - and whilst we would all like it to be instant unbridled sex that is usually the score with a one-off meeting when Cruising: the long term relationship thing takes time and that's how the script is playing the story. Just hope however it won't become a case of anticipation being far better than the event. Jackson's Mum (played by Pauline Quirk) appears this week and she takes an immediate dislike to Aaron! Whoops. |

I've given up on Emmerdale. I'd never watched it until I was led astray by the gossip on this thread about Aaron and Jackson, which was superlative acting, good writing, excellent plotting. I gave it a wank-factor 7 on the wankometer. They'd have scored more if I hadn't had to put so much effort into imagining all the hot sex that Aaron and Jacksoff had in the garage, the hay barn, the back of the lorry (I fell off one of those once!). And I like to think they enjoyed a couple of rounds on the golf course, maybe even got a hole in one! Obviously, those scenes were not aired, but I like to think they're locked away somewhere [a cottage in the country, perhaps?] ready for the day when TV will be no holds barred but all holes bared. Modified versions of current shows will be aired, suc as East benders; Cum Dancing, Come shag with me, Who The Fuck Do You think You Are? Bummerdale, You've Been Rimmed, Olden Balls (with Grasper Carrot), Big Brother (something the whole family can enjoy), Big Brother's Little Brother (my lips are sealed); Super Fanny, BF Swap (Undercover agent or a gent under covers), Gone Fisting (with Master Baits), Beating Behind the Bush, Big World-Little Penis, The Screws at Ten, CSI My Arse (with Jim Broadbent mounting), A Fistful of Fellers (it's a movie spin off), Guys On Top, The Big Bang Fairy, Have I Got Screws For You? Who wants to shave a million hairs (with Piss Torrent). Talking of which, I need to go shit, shave, shower, shampoo and maybe shag. Go well |

Still excellently written, produced and acted. For once in a while portrays real life at its best - not the usual camp, effiminate way which Gays are often portrayed. |

Have been away for a while and just caught up with the Emmerdale Story. Nice to see Aaron still as big mate with Adam and going to Gay Pub together. Jackson gave Aaron the knock-back however but I doubt if that is the end of that particularly as it now looks as though Jackson will get a Building Job in the village right next to the Garage where Aaron works, and is obviously with the story for some time with Pauline Quirke ('Birds of a Feather fame') joining the cast and appearing from August as Jackson's Mum. Still 10 out of 10 for the story line - only disappointment is to see Paul the Gay Barman returning for Nicola's Wedding - now if ever there was a stereotype Gay it is his character and his 'Thelma Louise' act!! Just hope it doesn't upstage the Aaron Story line which is so real-life. |

I also agree with Mechanic, Aaron's story in Emmerdale has been so well written and brilliantly acted. It reminded me of all the emotions I went through at that time/age. So many times I nearly did what he did, and just told everybody, but didn't have the balls to do it. How Danny didn't win an award for his terrific believable acting is an absolute mystery. I believe he's straight (?), which makes it even more of an achievement to play the role so covincingly. I saw him in Leeds once on my way to work. If I ever see him again I'll tell him how well (I think) he has acted his role. I would like to see this story develop into a "non-story" among his peers in the Dales, he caries on working in the garage, and seeing his friends, but after work he fancies men not women, but doesn't become a stereo-typical "soap-queen". I don't think he will. |

The BBC also produced the ill-fated 'Eldorado' for a year (July 1992-3) with the set in Spain and all produced there at massive cost - and it was worse than Eastenders - if that is possible |

Thanks BJ man, yes the creators of Eastenders would not recognise this tragedy now being played out in the east end. The BBC has a knack of doing something good to start with then its down hill all the way. They should find an old world war two bomb in the square and as they evacuate it wipes out everyone and so the end of another dead boring soap just like “Brookside” gone to be forgotten. RIP EASTENDERS j

On like-for-like I just cannot understand how Eastenders managed all the awards last week - think it is being shown on TV this Wednesday. To me Eastenders is more a Shakespearian Tragedy than a Soap Opera - no real humour, just lots of pathos. Corrie retains it's humour but the storylines have become artificial and removed from everyday life, whereas Emmerdale still seems real. Someone summed it up to me recently - when Corrie and Eastenders finish I see the cast taking off their make-up and going home, with Emmerdale I see life carrying on after the programme and next time it's on we pick up where they have got to in real life. |

I agree with Swanseabtm, you only have to watch Emmerdale to see the difference in storyline and direction of the two gay stories. Have to point out though that the original idea for Eastenders was a joint effort by Julia Smith and Tony Holland, sadly deceased, who was a friend of mine, and who did most of the original writings and plot lines based on family and friends in the East End. |

When will Eastenders do gay as normal guys not the typical “London” queen. I have watched some of the gay plot on the soap and think the acting is so poor also the writers yet again make a point of gossip in the pub quoting the “Bible”. I lived in the east end and the show is now so far from “Julia Smiths” Eastenders it is crap. So much so I now don’t watch it such a shame that it got loads of awards in the Soap Awards well no counting for taste. j

My admiration for Danny Miller's acting talents as Aaron just gets higher and higher. His performance in the Court scenes and his 'coming out' were just incredible - when he actually admitted he was Gay the tears rolled down my cheeks. It can only be a matter of time before he starts to get big screen offers - in the meantime however I can only hope his present character role develops into a sensible mature one - and that ITV don't get cold feet and wind the story down. ..and how good to see that the storyline had Adam, the Guy who outed him in the first place - remain as his close mate. Wonder if that plot has got a few twists to come as Adam seems to be cooling on his girl friend!! |

I can only echo the words of mechanic and metoo, this has turned into one of the best acted, scripted, directed and moving storylines I have ever seen in a soap. It is very believable, and I hope it makes things easier for both straight and gay people understand the struggles that some of us go through. Everyone involved with this storyline deserves to win an award, especially Danny Miller, he is a very talented young actor. |

Agree with Meetoo - this is the best scripted and acted portral of the agonies of being young and gay that I have ever seen. The characters are also straight acting and masculine characters contrary to the usual characters who have to be over-the-top effiminate like the previous attempts in Emmerdale with 'Paul' the Barman and 'Johnnie' his mate. It is really good that at long last a Gay character is being shown as just a fairly ordinary person and not a stereotype extrovert. |

This story in Emerdale brings back so many memories of when I was going through this traumatic time, it even made me cry last night as this was so close to how things nearly went for myself. I can only congratulate all involved in this story line and especially to the script writers and actors, so many will learn from this not just the guys and girls who are coming to terms with themselves but with their family and friends. Well done, |

I'm quite hooked on the Emmerdale Storyline and this coming week it really portrays the fears of 'coming out' and a cliff-hanger as to whether Aaron will survive. Many, like me, can relate to much of the story so far. We may be older now, have learned a few lessons and have less fears - but at the time there were many sleepless nights as the dread of our secrets being exposed haunted us. |

Well Soap fans, rush to your local newsagent and grab a copy of the latest Attitude mag. Naked cuties from a number of shows with both Danny Young and Ryan Thomas showing off their f***able little arses - don't think I can chose between them so can I have both please? Just off to the bog for a wank to relieve the pressure. Note to Moderator - I don't work for the publisher, promise. No problem! Just make sure you don't buy up all the copies - I'm hooked on Emmerdale at present!! (Rigger - Moderator) (Message edited by rigger on April 13, 2010) |

I have read a blog where Danny (Aaron) pays great credit to Paddy for the chemistry between them when shooting the scenes where he admits to being Gay and where they came to blows. He also says that only once in a smaller scene did they have to use tear gel - that really says something about his acting calibre. I really think this Guy has got a long way to go on his present performance. I remember Robson Green playing a bit part as the Porter 'Jimmy Powell' in Casualty between 1989-1992 and look where he has got to now. Danny (Aaron) would knock spots off Robson's early career so his world has to be the proverbial oyster I think. |

Mechanic, Yes, Aaron is portrayed excellently - although I'm a bit dubious about the tears; they flow like a waterfall! I suspect some one rubs an onion under his nose just before his weeping scenes are filmed. However, that doesn't take away from the acting and, I agree, the story line is well done, given that it's a soap. Go well |

Another fantastic performance by Danny Miller as Aaron. Yes - the Guy he phoned at the end of the episode asking for help is the Guy he was about to kiss in the earlier episode. In the blogs it says he shares a flat with his mate Adam Thomas who plays Adam Barton the Farmer's Son in Emmerdale - that is the Guy he tried to kiss some weeks back when this storyline opened. Of all the Gay storylines I've seen this really does seem (so far at least) to be as real and life-like as it can be. I know I've was there once and bought the tee shirt as the saying goes! |

I watched the Emmerdale - altho I skip through to the Aaron bits. Paddy is irritating beyond belief and if Aaron comes as copiously as he weeps, he'd wake up soaking if he had a wet dream! I'm assuming he called the guy he almost kissed. I'll watch that space! Go well |

Emmerdale update. Aaron and Adam have been somewhat distant of late - although a bit more matey recently - BUT looks as though Aaron's Gay Mate isn't goint to be Adam after all - unless the Scriptwriters are heading for a threesome!! TVbiz says: Ex-Hollyoaks actor Marc Silcock joins the Emmerdale cast on 22 March. His character will be Jackson Walsh and he will meet confused Aaron in a Gay Bar. He will 'play a big part in Aaron's journey' |

So...where is Emmerdale going? Adam still showing as a bit anti Aaron but at the same time they exchange tender glances. Adam even follows Aaron to the toilet only to find someone else there and they seem to be continually winding each other up with girly friends. Little sub plots with a Gay Customer at the Garage who obviously fancies Aaron and now I suspect Adam tells his sister (Aaron's girlfriend) that he thinks Aaron is Gay - so is he trying to put her off so he can make it up with Aaron after the falling out. Would like to see Ryan thrown into the plot as a threesome story!! Still think it is being sensibly done - not the usual stuff where being Gay is made so obvious as these two lads are outwardly very male. |

Ryan plays simple Jason in Coronation St and his younger brother Adam who play's Adam in Emerdale, who is going to become embroiled into a gay relationship in the soap. They are both so fucking hot I wouldn't know which one to get it in with first. |

Agree Bikerboy - think all we will see is the grief and torment but there again a lot of us have been there, done that and bought the teashirt. I certainly remember the uncertainty, inadequacy and despair associated with my feelings when I was at their age. For Emmerdale fans - Thursday 10 December 7pm Bad boy Aaron (played by Danny Miller) the mechanic at the Garage kisses Adam the Farm Labourer after a car accident. (Adam played by Adam Thomas, brother of Ryan Thomas who is Jason Grimshaw the Builder in Corrie) Obviously some guilt trips and torments as the story develops. |

In my long and not so illustrious journey along life's highway, bi ways and back passages, back in the day, I was honoured to be the first port of call for many a timorous lad who trembled on the brink of self-discovery. Watching Aaron struggle (!) with his urges, fighting against his yearnings, not only reminds me of those guys - some of whom are still friends - but also of my own struggle [a very brief one, I must admit] to overcome my own horror at the thought of being 'one of them'. Being that it's soap-land, Aaron will no doubt rise to the occasion and go down into the depths of despair, but I wonder how long they'll run this story line? I'm not interested in any of the other , so I might record the omnibus edition and skips through all the bits that don't matter (and I want to lose a few kgs so I'll benefit from the skipping). Go well } |
