Gidea Park-Last time I looked the cottage was open with both cubicles in operation but the gh still covered.It was covered with a piece of plastic both sides.Unfortunately, the screws used to secure it in place were rounded off so they only turned rather than unscrewed. | ||

Thanks Hole. We two arrived at Manford Way on the same day, but took turns in using the cubicles and didn't hog them all afternoon like some do. There's a very convenient row of shops opposite where we can go and have a cup of coffee or a snack and keep an eye on the cottage. I have to say that I've only ever had good trade with one guy at that cottage, on two separate occasions. The black guy with dreadlocks. He wasn't there last time. Another young guy did come in, but got fed up waiting because of the hoggers, so left without ever getting into a cubicle. I got in, but there was nothing else of any interest that day and frankly I've given that place up as too far away and not worth the effort. News of any other g/h cottages in the London area always welcome on this site, but of course the hoggers will find them eventually. This has always been the case, but at least in the old days with g/h cottages everywhere (often more than one g/h in each cottage) we could just leave and go elsewhere. With one g/h cottage known in the whole of Greater London, no wonder it is difficult. Indeed there should be lines down the street waiting to go in! Obviously most guys, younger ones in particular, find trade in other places. G/holes in cottages are largely a thing of the past, which is partly why there are so few around, they are just not part of modern gay culture. For the same reason, no doubt, glory-holes in backroom clubs are not very well used, and g/holes in video arcades, porno cinemas, etc. have never appeared outside the USA to my knowledge. At least these have a time limit, and when your time is up you have to leave or put more money in for extra time. I'm not sure exactly how this works as I've never seen such a video arcade with glory-holes on my visits to the States. Presumably the door opens or becomes unlocked? Otherwise hoggers would stay in them all day. | ||

Since WH Smiths don't have toilets, as far as I'm aware, I guess there may be a cottage with a g/h near a branch of WH Smiths. Best bet is probably one of the railway stations/termini.
