Soon to be closed too. Supposedly the last day will be 25/1/19. This will be a sadly missed venue

Facilities: 3/5 This sauna appears deceptively small from the front but its actually medium sized inside as it goes back someway & down into the basement.

Upstairs were located the changing room lockers, & several private rooms plus a sofa area & reception. Downstairs was the location of the wet areas, a small but adequate jacuzzi a typical sauna box, large steam room, two distinct shower areas & the cruise area with more private rooms.

Staff: 5/5 Friendly, correct attitude.

Clientele: 2.5/5 Friendly guys. Except me the crowd were all mature & white, some of these guys were in good shape. I the impression this is the older mans sauna whilst Steamworks attracts a more mixed crowd.

Overall: 3/5 I actually preferred this sauna to Steamworks. It has a better layout & doesn't charge you extra for rooms over lockers. The atmosphere here was pleasant. On the downside its a bit of trek on foot from Princes Street & lacked demographic diversity. I visited last August during the festival but it was still fairly quite on a weekday evening. I would return for relaxation & be content.

Re No 18 Sauna.
No information on their website - however elsewhere a message that a Visitor rang their door bell during last week in February and it was answered by someone who indicated decoration was in progress and hoped to re-open around 8 March.
In view of cost of fuel may be worth calling them before travelling any distance.
Listed number on their website is 0131 553 3222
