I hadn't visited this sauna for some years and it is now under new ownership. It has been refurbished to a certain extent with a new entrance and snack bar area in the basement. You then change up on the ground floor. Here again the lockers are even smaller then those at Newport Greenhouse, making it necessary to bundle your clothes into the locker.
There is also a shower and as smoking area on this floor. At the time of my visit only this shower was working properly. The main showers are situated next to the sauna and have very poor pressure, which is probably cause by the washing machines on this floor interrupting the flow of water.
There is a Sauna, Steam room on the split level floor as well as a Jacuzzi and a porno video room and some computer terminals. On the upper floors there are various cabins, slings, etc. with an intriguing urinal set in a glazed cabin for all to view.
I went on a Sunday at about 11am when the night crowd were just leaving. After that, there were only about six or seven people including myself for the next four hours. Perhaps it is just because itís a Sunday! The clients were mainly around 30 to 40 with a couple of older ones. As this is a reasonably sized sauna with so few people around, perhaps it is not surprising that not much action was observed.
The staff are a very attentive and pleasant, but the sauna lacks a certain something. Parking around the area is extremely expensive - I had to pay £18 just for four hours parking, It might be better to go by public transport.
If I was asked to mark this out of five, I think I would give it three stars.

Visited Eagle 50 Sauna in Cardiff today (20.07.17)
As I approached the entrance (about 12:20pm) the guy behind the counter told me there was one person in so far. I asked if everything was working as the last time I was there the steam room was faulty. He assured me all was working fine and they had installed a new steam room some four months ago. Great I thought so paid my money and went in. Got changed and made my way to the showers. They were not very powerful and ran cold water for a couple of minutes. I went into the Jacuzzi which was nice and stayed in there for two cycles. Then I moved onto the sauna which seemed ok when I opened the door but then once inside and seated it was cool in temperature. I left there for the steam room. Opening the door there was no steam and walking inside I found it not to be working at all. I went back to reception and told the guy on the door my findings. Firstly he doubted me as the steam room had been working for months with no problems, so I invited him to come and check which he did. He didnít understand as the lights on the control unit were showing working normal but the room was cold. I asked could I have my money back and was told he would need to phone the owner. He said to give him 15-20 minutes to sort it out and he would come back to me. The time went on and I went back to him. He told me that the owner had been in, checked the equipment, found a fault and an engineer had been called. There was no idea of how long it would be. I asked about the refund and the owner had told him they donít do refund but would give me a 50% discount for my next visit if I completed a form and supplied my name and address. They would then keep this on file for my next visit. You can imagine my frustration as I had been told before paying that everything was working correctly. I did stay for a little longer chatting to a guy in the Jacuzzi and then left completely dissatisfied. I donít think I will be going back there again.
