Maybe some idiots should open their eyes wide before they start to kick off about shit.

Chariots Waterloo branch had signs all over the place up 3 weeks before it closed stating the closing date and a big thank you from the General manager for everyone's custom over the years... So maybe you need glasses or something.. but people should be sure before they post

Having vowed never to go to a Chariotís establishment again because of the way they treat their
customers - just closing their last two saunas with little or no notice (Streatham was open one day
and not the next without any warning or apology), so I hadnít been to this sauna for a few years. It
should also be borne in mind that planning permission has been given for the erection of a hotel on
site, so I suppose the saunaís days are numbered.

The admission price is £15 but with a £2 concession including those who use a Freedom Pass. At
the moment if you arrive before 12 noon on weekdays you can get in for £11.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people there and the ethnic mix (Chinese, Afro
Caribbean, Indian Subcontinent etc.) The age span was better than some other saunas in London
with quite a few in their 20ís ranging up to late sixties. I went on a Friday at around 2pm when
there were quite a few of the lunchtime crowd still there. The numbers then dropped mid-afternoon
and rose again at about 4pm onwards. When I left at about 6pm a lot of the punters had left, but
new people were still arriving.

The layout had changed a bit from my last visit with the central darkroom area being converted into
a small sub-cinema, a central area with glory-holes with the cinema and adjoining rooms and
cabins. There are plenty of private cabins, a large porno-video room where there is a lot of orgy
action, two saunas and a nice steam room. The steam room and saunas were hot which is more
than can be said for some other saunas who seem to be permanently trying to save electricity, but
unfortunately it doesnít have a Jacuzzi. There is a cafeteria with cold and hot drinks snacks and hot
meals and the staff were fairly pleasant.

I would give this sauna 4 out of 5 stars.

I might try Chariots, Waterloo again on a late Thursday or Friday afternoon, though this is sometimes a very difficult time for me due to other commitments. Chariots, Waterloo certainly has great possibilities, but needs to be packed to really work I would imagine. It has to be said, however, that dark rooms, g/hs, and all this kind of cruising have most definitely gone out of fashion compared with a few years ago. So many backroom places have shut or are now almost deserted. Internet cruising seems to have replaced much of it.

Went to Chariots, Waterloo this evening (Saturday) and it was pretty awful. The smallest of the 4 Chariots saunas in London. Plenty of g/hs and a nice little dark room, but hardly any of these facilities were used. Bit of action thru the g/hs when I first arrived, then nothing. Just half a dozen guys at the most walking round and round. I suspect the much bigger Pleasuredrome nearby makes this branch of Chariots unviable, and I can't see it paying unless it really does get busy sometimes. However if not Saturday evening, it seems strange to me Thursday/Friday late afternoons would be better. After the first half hour I'm afraid it was very boring as nothing was happening anywhere in the place.

Went to Chariots in Waterloo yesterday.. and as a great gloryhole fan I was very surprised to see this place is full of them. Almost every cabin has a hole of some. Although It wasn't too busy.. maybe 20ish guys.. the place was very clean. I've been to a lot of other saunas and cleaning doesn't tend to be a top priority, but this one was very good. The whole place could do with a lick of paint, but all in all it's not bad there.

Bit harsh. I've been going there a while and agreed sometimes it's quiet. I did advise the best time to go to get the best impression.

One thing people always do is compare it to Pleasuredome because they are both located in Waterloo, however I think this is a mistake. The clientèle and atmosphere and facilities are totally non comparable. Pleauredome's competition is the Vauxhall branch in my opinion as both are more of a clubby feel. Waterloo cannot compete against both Vauxhall and PD at the weekends... However as a "local sauna" it does well in the weekdays late afternoon to early evening.

Thats all i can advise... Horses for courses.. some like PD, some like Vauxhall, some like WL.

However in my opinion there are far to many saunas in London... the Shorditch, Vaxuall, Waterloo, Limehouse, Streathem Chariots, P'Dome, Sweatbox, SaunaBar, Locker Room, Portsea at Marble Arch, Steamworks (formally 309), and one openned last year.. um... Paradise Spa or something? 808 on Lea Bridge rd, and E15 club..

14??.. I mean come on.
